Celebrating Our Volunteers and Looking Ahead
We’re heading into two short but busy weeks at Fultonvale! As we look ahead to the end of the month, we’re excited to join Elk Island Public Schools in recognizing National Volunteer Week from April 27 to May 4, 2025.
This week, we’re especially grateful for our amazing FSAC and School Council members. These dedicated parents generously give their time to support our school through fundraising, advisory input, and community-building efforts. Their commitment helps create meaningful learning opportunities for all Fultonvale students.

INFORMATION
Hot Lunch
Happy Monday FTV families. Here is the upcoming list and order closing dates of lunches for April along with other info at bottom:
- Thursday April 17 - Boston Pizza (closes Sat Apr 12)
- Wednesday April 23 - Nitza's & Confetti Sweets (closes Fri Apr 18)
- Thursday May 1 - KFC & Confetti Sweets (closes Sat Apr 26)
As we are headed into Field trip season, please note your child (rens) schedules before ordering in advance.
If you need your child’s hot lunch sent home with a sibling, please email Carrie at ceckersley78@gmail.com by the day before or no later than 9 AM on the day of hot lunch. To keep things running smoothly, we ask that students do not come to the concession room looking for a sibling’s lunch, as we are busy managing classroom bins and distribution. Instead, Carrie will ensure the lunch is sent to the sibling’s classroom to be taken home.
Thank you for your cooperation and for your continued support of our fundraising efforts!
CTS Safety Protocol Reminders
As part of our ongoing commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of our students, we would like to take a moment to remind everyone involved in the CTS/CTF programs about the importance of adhering to proper safety protocols, particularly regarding the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Students participating in hands-on activities in these areas must be treated as workers and must always wear the appropriate PPE to minimize the risk of injury. To ensure their safety, we kindly ask for your support in reinforcing the following key requirements:
- Hair: All students are required to have their hair tied back securely to prevent entanglement in machinery or equipment.
- Clothing: Students should wear close-fitting clothing, as loose clothing can pose a serious risk of getting caught in equipment. Long pants must be worn to protect students’ legs from sharp objects, sparks, or debris.
- Footwear: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory to ensure foot protection.
- Additional PPE: safety glasses, gloves, face shields, etc., as required for the program area.
These guidelines are essential in creating a safe and secure working environment for all students, and we greatly appreciate your cooperation in ensuring they are followed.
If you have any questions or need additional information regarding the safety protocols, please feel free to reach out to us. Your continued support in promoting student safety is invaluable.
Did you know? Education Funding
EIPS prepares a budget in the spring based on projected enrolment, funding, estimated costs and Board of Trustees budget priorities. Before the Division can finalize its budget for the next school year, we need to wait for the provincial government to provide the funding manual for school authorities and EIPS’ funding profile. This year’s funding manual is expected to be released in early April and the funding profile should be available mid-March. EIPS plans to publish its spring budget in May. Learn more
